‘Satomi’ Dogwood

Cornus kousa ‘Satomi’

‘Satomi’ Dogwood is a pink-flowered variety of the Korean Dogwood. ‘Satomi’s’ deep, rosy pink flowers appear a little later than other Dogwood varieties. The flowers appear in late spring and are followed by large red fruits. Falll color is orangey-red. The deep green leaves may have a purplish tinge and are resistant to anthracnose. This slow grower has a rounded form with beautiful horizontal branching.

What to Expect the First Year: As with all newly-planted trees, these need to be watered carefully through the

first Spring/Summer--see our "Care of Your Trees" section for more details. Not much growth the

first year because the tree is putting its efforts into its root system.

Comments: Beautiful as a specimen tree, lawn tree, or in mixed plantings.

We are a tree farm, not just a nursery. Many of the trees you buy from us have been grown right here in Snohomish at our 60 acre tree farm. Buying directly from a grower gives you fresh trees, great selection, and low prices--you maximize your purchasing power!. More information

We’ll help you determine which trees are right for your project, and provide you with free, no-obligation estimates. This is often accomplished by e-mail and phone. Where necessary, we will send our Arborist out to review the project (no charge). More information

We don’t require any money “up front”—you only pay when the job is completed (unusual exceptions to this are special projects, lengthy “holds” on trees, or Cliffhanger jobs). Be careful of contractors asking for “up front” money.
